Erotica Writing 201: Workshop - Bring Laptop or Writing Utensils
This class is for people with a few stories under their belt. The first part will be my more intermediate tips – things like sentence structures that are particularly hot, crafting character voices (blah blah blah exercise), building endurance for longer writing sessions, plot twists and writing good kinky romance. 5 stories will be submitted ahead of time for everyone in the class to read and offer critique (content warnings needed - some topics off limits).
Engaging in Kink During Times of Personal Crisis
Kink can be the sexiest, hottest, most exciting thing on the planet. It can also be hard to fully engage in when there's more happening in your life. This panel is a guided group discussion on experiences with kink and grief, turmoil, and other life changes. Folks are welcome to bring problems they're presently experiencing, or things they've experienced in the past, or to just sit and listen. Please note that while therapy or mental health skills may be discussed, this group is not a replacement for therapy.
Kink Scene Workshop
- Come to the class with some rough scene ideas, or some kinks you’re into that you want to play with
- Introduce the venn diagram style - seeing what ways the various kinks can intersect (have handouts of 3-circle venn diagrams)
- Write down some specific moments or bits of dialogue you want said during the scene
- What does your ideal sub/Domme partner look like? (not literally)
- Handouts for scene negotiation (in the form of mini-zines) for people to take back to their partners and use – everyone gets 2, plus a zine for combining scene ideas
